INTRODUCTION

The Bronxville Skating Club is Bronxville's oldest afterschool club.  It was established in 1956 to encourage students to learn how to ice skate. Skate Club is a stand alone club however registration is through BASC and opens September 11th at 8PM. The first skating session will be October 16th.

FIGURE SKATING CLUB

We are pleased to announce that this season we are teaching the ISI Ice Skating Program curriculum! The ISI Skating Program was developed to encourage individuals to skate for FUN and enjoyment! It is based on consistent and well-defined levels of achievement that have proven to guide a skater from basic beginner maneuvers through significantly more advanced and even competitive skill sets. Skaters will earn badges when they complete skill levels, which encourages skaters to keep learning and practicing. Skaters will be evaluated and placed in groups during the first class. Each group lesson is 30 minutes (beginner, intermediate and advanced) and is open to students in kindergarten through fifth grade.

HOCKEY

A 30 minute junior introductory hockey program will be offered for students K through 2 nd grade starting at 3:30pm. A 60 minute hockey class is also offered to those with basic skating skills. (Hockey experience is not required.)
