=======================================

Bronxville PTA sponsors a Health and Wellness Committee, which is charged with bringing speakers to address students, parents and sometimes faculty on issues of health and overall wellness in the life of our students.  With a broad mandate to address all three schools and the different issues raised at different stages of a child's life in school, H&W has in the past brought experts in cyber-bullying prevention, nutrition, underaged drinking and drug abuse prevention, bullying and social aggression prevention and others.  Parents should attend as many of these lectures as possible, even regarding topics that may be for older children, for the purpose of learning from experts in their different fields of expertise.

Teenangels:

The Teenangels Program is a group of 13-18 year-old volunteers that have been specially trained by the local law enforcement, and many other leading safety experts in all aspects of online safety, privacy, and security. After completion of the required training, the Teenangels run unique programs in schools to spread the word about responsible and safe surfing to other teens and younger kids, parents, and teachers. At the urging of our Teenangel volunteers, a special group of volunteers will be able to continue as Teenangels after they become 18 years old, & a new group of Tweenangels has been formed for those between 9 & 12 years of age.  For those parents whose children are interested in joining the Teenangel Program please go to http://www.teenangels.org/.  Click here for CNET article on cyberbullying and the Teenangels Program.  Teenangels Article
